Any season in Japan must be interesting! I would love to go one day, but I'm such a die-hard cigarette smoke hater that I probably wouldn't enjoy it like I should. Maybe one day I'll get over that.

Great pictures - happy MM!

She~ The "zen bowl" is actually a rock that many country folk have outside their homes to catch the rain water that comes off the roof. The food is called UNAGI and we eat it on the hottest days. The best thing to beat the heat.
Unagi= eel, YUM!

Troll~ If there is a decent Japanese restaurant near you they should have it. Don't be put off by the eel thing. Super delicious.

Bunny~ Come on by. Japan has started some of the most restrictive anti smoking campaigns I have ever heard of. There are many public streets where you cannot smoke. Restaurants have non smoking sections and bars, well, they're bars and folks ought to be allowed some place to indulge in vices.

The skewered meats look delicious. Is the second one unagi (grilled eel)?

BTW, what do you wear under the kimono? :-)

Kate~ Thanks M'lady. I am glad you enjoyed them.

As for the Kimono question.....It's not a large leap of the imagination to figure out what we wear under the garments.

Ming~ Thanks for the link. I'll look into it.
