I guess I am going to have to post pictures of a bunch of temples and stuff that makes the Image of the far east look really mysterious and very exotic- LOL! Well, Maybe not. The fact is that even though there are TONS of temples here, most folks are way too busy to visit them except on special holidays.I guess that would equate with churches or cathedrals or mosques in your town, huh?

This is lovely! A friend of mine taught in Japan (and then Korea and Thailand) for a while. Of the many photos he sent, I loved those of the temples best...

I was able to visit the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo a few years ago and it had lots of people, but it was a weekend so maybe that explains it.
The Philippines is a Catholic country and our churches are always full on Sundays. Even weekday masses are still well-attended.
I got to churches a lot ... to take photos. :-)
