We got snow

And it totally messed up my day. Have you ever had to change tires while it was snowing. Brrrrr! I still can't feel my fingers.

This is Mt. Iwate. I see this guy every morning as I pull out of my parking space and make my way to work. When I move, this will be one of the things I miss most about where I live.

What do you like about your neighborhood?

snow capped peaks are so pristine pure! I love them!

I saw the movie, Memoirs of a Geisha and some fantastic vegetation of Japan in there. I was wondering if it is really real, it was so fascinating, like some other world altogether! It was like a dream land!!

I live almost at the foot of Pike's Peak, and it's beauty never ceases to amaze me. Having said that, please know that I share your pain - changing tires in the snow is a singularly unlovely experience.

What I like about my neighborhood...hmmmm. Having spent most of my life traveling between Los Angeles and New York City, I think it's the close proximity to the mountains, and abundance of wildlife here. On any given morning, magpies, scrub jays, skunks, squirrels, raccoons, little red foxes and the occasional deer can be seen roaming my yard. So much nicer than pigeons...

We can see 3 mountains on a clear day...5 or 6 from one of the bridges in Portland...in fact, you'll hear the phrase..."it's a 5 (or 3 or 2 or...)mountain day"...when somneone talks about how good the visibility is on a given day.

This is a lovely photo, it's November and it is still pretty darn warm here.
