This is a picture of a stairway I took long before digital cameras were available.
If you were to climb this particular set of stairs you would encounter a most mystifying waterfall.
Named 不動の滝 Fu Dou no Taki, it means silent or unmoving falls. If I get the time this weekend I just might take my motorcycle out there to see what I can do with the scenery and a different camera.
Then again there are a few bridges and gardens I have my eye on.
What kind of things do you prefer to shoot?

Beautiful photograph. This must be a beautiful place. I look forward to seeing the scene today, fast forwarding many years. Will it live up to it's name, 'unmoving falls'?
It looks both frosty and autumnal. It captures the mystery I fear might be lost by a return visit in more colourful times.
Stunning...I love B&W. One of my favorite places to take photos is at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. The rock formations are amazing, and in the fall, the aspens are turning color...heaven!
I depends on my mood and opportunity.
But in order to maintain a daily photo blog, I'm constantly taking photos, mostly on weekends. I will snap at almost anything that catches my attention. But only about 10-20% of the photos are usable. The rest are deleted.
When I get invited to dinner at a neighborhood I don't normally get to, I make sure to take extra photos for the archives.
I'm trying to reconcile my photography with enjoyment/relaxation. Although I enjoy it a lot -- it allows me to tap into my creative psyche that is rarely used at my 9-to-5 job -- I find that I rarely take photos when I'm on vacation. I rather relax and not think about taking photos unless I see something absolutely breathtaking.
Beautiful!
I like them both.
Great shots!
