Border Crossing

I like bridges. I find them alluring and often beautiful. Morioka is blessed with an amazing variety of outstanding examples of both the very beautiful and dreadfully ugly. This particular bridge spans the Kitakami River 北上川　and connects Morioka to Takizawa Village

Well, I have finally done it. I have signed on with City Daily Photo.
I will be doing my best to bring this beautiful, wonderous, weirdly pleasant town that I call home to you.

Above is 上ノ橋　Kami no hashi. This is probaly one of the most serene bridges in the city. Morioka has a lot of bridges and is known as the Kyoto of the north.
